WHO WE ARE

Eden Wellness & Yoga Studio is a small business, women owned, focusing on building community through social, emotional, physical empowerment and, of course, flow. art collaboration, and trauma-informed practices set us apart. We offer a variety of events and classes aimed at enriching both body and mind, while fostering connections through shared experiences and artistic endeavors.

HATHA YOGA

A balanced practice combining physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation. Poses are typically held for several breaths, building strength, flexibility, and alignment. This slower-paced class is ideal for all levels, including beginners, and helps cultivate a calm, centered mind, but also creates a good amount of heat and, over time, strength.

HATHA YOGA - SLOW FLOW

Join me for a Slow Flow class tailored to enhance joint function, posture, and everyday comfort. Ideal for individuals facing stiffness, recovering from injuries, or those easing into yoga. This gentle practice nurtures both body and mind. Join us in cultivating well-being through movement and creativity in our vibrant arts community.

VINYASA YOGA

A more dynamic class aimed at boosting circulation, vitality, and mental clarity. Think intentional strength-building sequences, breath-driven movement, and feel-good momentum. A great way to recharge your day or power through the week.

YIN YOGA

Our yin yoga classes offer a candle-lit, slow-paced practice with longer, passive floor-based poses held for 1–5 minutes to target fascia and deep connective tissues. This therapeutic style supports mobility, flexibility, and relaxation while calming the nervous system.

We also offer themed yin classes, such as chakra-focused practices, designed to support energy flow and deepen mind–body awareness. All yin classes are gentle, beginner-friendly, and accessible to all levels.

RESTORATIVE YOGA

Join me for a relaxing practice featuring supported poses eased into for several minutes (5-8) with the comfort and aid of props. Calm the nervous system, melt into the present moment and ease chronic tension all in one hour. This class will be accompanied by beautiful candle light to melt stress away in a safe and beautiful setting. Ideal for stress relief, burnout recovery, anxiety, low intensity and grounding.

At Eden, we believe in making yoga affordable and accessible for everyone. Our sliding scale yoga classes start at just $5, making it easy for newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike to find a welcoming space!

ACUPUNCTURE

Amanda is a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 15 years of experience and a Licensed Acupuncturist trained in East Asian Medicine. While studying physiology at Michigan State University, she was drawn to acupuncture through her own health journey. She moved from her hometown on Lake Michigan to Portland and earned her Master’s degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in 2020.

Amanda specializes in subtle Japanese bodywork and acupuncture focused on nervous system healing. Her treatments may include non-insertive Japanese tools and moxibustion, making her work especially supportive for those sensitive to needles. Her approach is eclectic, gentle, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

 WE CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE ANY SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNED; HOWEVER. WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING TO COLLABORATE WITH HEALERS AND CREATIVE FOLKS! IF you would like to host an event at our studio or have an idea you would like to share, please send them our way.

I teach yoga with presence, compassion, and purpose—rooted in over a decade of personal practice and a background in education. After years of teaching in public schools, I shifted my path to focus fully on yoga and wellness, driven by a deep calling to support healing and growth in more embodied, heart-centered ways.

My classes blend mindfulness, breathwork, and trauma-informed movement to create a space where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to show up just as they are. With my own lived experience of healing from trauma, I lead with sensitivity, choice, and respect for each person’s unique journey.

Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned student, I offer practices that balance strength with softness, and support growth from the inside out.

Outside the studio, I find peace in nature, hiking, and quiet moments at home with my pets (dog and two cats) & loved ones. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to connection, curiosity, and creating space for meaningful transformation—on and off the mat.

I AM A PORTLAND OREGON INDIGENOUS (COW-CREEK UMPQUA ENROLLED) SPIRITUALIST & REIKI USHI MASTER, MINDFULNESS TEACHER AND ASTROLOGER.

I STARTED MY ESOTERIC DABBLES AS A CHILD AND THEY HAVE GROWN TO BE A PART OF WHO I AM NOW.  PRIOR TO COVID, I WAS A COUNSELOR FOR SEVERAL YEARS WHERE I DEVELOPED MY OWN GROUP CURRICULUM FOCUSED ON MINDFULNESS, DBT SKILLS, AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.  I GRADUATED FROM PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY WITH A B.S. IN PSYCHOLOGY AND A MINOR IN CHILD AND FAMILY STUDIES.  MY FOCUS AS A COUNSELOR WAS IN THE INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY IN MY AREA. I AM ALSO A LEVEL II REIKI PRACTITIONER, SOUND HEALER AND A CERTIFIED YOGA (200HR) INSTRUCTOR, AND I HAVE BEEN A FORMAL MEDITATION STUDENT SINCE 2020 WITH ONGOING TRAINING AND EDUCATION IN MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION. I ATTENDED THE NIGHTLIGHT ASTROLOGY SCHOOL IN 2021 FOR HELLENISTIC ASTROLOGY AND HAVE FOUND SUCH JOY IN DIVING INTO BIRTH CHARTS IN CONGRUENCE WITH HEALING WORK AND GUIDING OTHERS. TWO MOONS WELLNESS HAS BEEN MY WAY TO MELD MY CULTURE, MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND MY ESOTERIC STUDIES INTO ONE. UNITING THE BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT AGAIN WITH UNIVERSAL FLOW. â€‹

I BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF INTROSPECTION LIKE SHADOW WORK WITH THE GROUNDING OF MINDFULNESS TO FULLY HELP OTHERS FIND THEIR HIGHER SELVES. I HAVE APPLIED THESE TO MY OWN LIFE WITH MINDFULNESS TRAINING AND THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN INNER PEACE, TRANQUILITY AND SERENITY I DID NOT THINK WAS POSSIBLE. I HOPE TO BRING THESE ENLIGHTENING TOOLS TO OTHERS AND HELP THEM TO ALSO FIND SOME PEACE IN THIS LIFE. ONE OF MY GREATEST TEACHERS SAID, “THE ONLY WAY OUT IS IN.”

I AM DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING INDIVIDUALS TO CULTIVATE A DEEPER, MORE MEANINGFUL CONNECTION WITH THEIR BODIES. THROUGH INTENTIONAL BREATH AWARENESS AND MINDFUL MOVEMENT INSPIRED BY MY YOGA TEACHER TRAININGS, I CREATE A SUPPORTIVE AND ACCESSIBLE SPACE WHERE STUDENTS CAN TUNE INWARD AND HONOR THEIR OWN UNIQUE EXPERIENCES. MY APPROACH IS ROOTED IN COMPASSION, CURIOSITY, AND RESPECT FOR THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, ALLOWING EACH PERSON TO MOVE AT THEIR OWN PACE WHILE BUILDING TRUST IN THEMSELVES AND THEIR BODIES.

AS A CERTIFIED TRAUMA-INFORMED YOGA TEACHER WITH OVER 500 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION AND NINE YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE, I BRING BOTH DEPTH AND PRESENCE TO MY CLASSES. MY TEACHING IS SHAPED BY A STRONG FOUNDATION IN ANATOMY, FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT, AND SOMATIC AWARENESS, WHILE REMAINING GROUNDED IN THE BELIEF THAT YOGA IS A PRACTICE OF CONNECTION RATHER THAN PERFORMANCE. I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT SUPPORTING HOLISTIC HEALTH AND WELLNESS AND GUIDING OTHERS TOWARD GREATER RESILIENCE, BALANCE, AND SELF-EMPOWERMENT ON AND OFF THE MAT.

OUTSIDE OF YOGA, MY PASSIONS INCLUDE BODYBUILDING, HAIR DESIGN, AND READING, ALL OF WHICH INFLUENCE MY CREATIVE AND DISCIPLINED APPROACH TO LIFE AND TEACHING. I LOVE BEING AN ACTIVE PART OF THE PORTLAND COMMUNITY AND YOU CAN OFTEN FIND ME AT A LOCAL CAFÉ SIPPING A HOT HONEY LAVENDER MATCHA, CONNECTING WITH OTHERS AND SOAKING IN THE ENERGY OF SHARED SPACES. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT TRUE HEALING HAPPENS IN COMMUNITY, AND I STRIVE TO FOSTER THAT SENSE OF BELONGING IN EVERY CLASS I TEACH.

OUR STORY

Opening this yoga studio was a dream born from both personal healing and a desire to serve others in a more intentional, heart-led way. After stepping away from public school teaching, I felt called to create a space where wellness, creativity, and connection could thrive outside of traditional systems.

This studio is more than a place to practice yoga—it's a home for community. My vision is to build a welcoming, inclusive space that feels accessible to all—regardless of background, income, or experience. I believe wellness should never be a luxury, and I’m committed to keeping offerings affordable, honest, and rooted in service.

I also see this space as a hub for collaboration—where artists, healers, and teachers from all walks of life can share their gifts. Whether it’s through workshops, pop-ups, or community events, I hope to foster an ecosystem of mutual support, creative expression, and shared healing.

My goal isn’t just to lead yoga classes—it’s to hold space for people to reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with something deeper. If you’re seeking community, curiosity, or simply a place to breathe—you’re welcome here.
